Men with cancer are able to get cure or control rates and thanks to the advances in medical, surgical and radiation therapy. The downside of these is chances of damage to sperm or sometimes difficulty in passing out semen.

Though the prime aim is cure from cancer and rest all are secondary, it’s important to note that there is some preventive action also necessary from a fertility point of view in men who still require to have their full potential of fertility.

These cancers often affect young men and men in their reproductive age group where they did not plan for kids or waiting to have their second kid.

Sperm cryopreservation is such an important boon to men who undergo chemotherapy or radiation especially to the lower abdomen and pelvis. Any surgery which may potentially damage ejaculation also should be an indication to meet the Andrologist and get your sperms frozen.
